There are two broad models for how Muslim states have managed mosques and madrassas. The "coercive" model, used historically by Pakistan, tries to align mosques/madrassas to its goals through partnering with established clerical leaders, giving financial incentives, maintaining a registry but letting the administration remain in their hands. The "control" model, variations of it used by Saudi Arabia, Iran and Turkey, more directly administers mosques/madrassas, appointing and overseeing Imams themselves, vetting Friday sermons, all to make sure the pulpit and madrassa delivers a state-approved message

A 'Mr. Big' operation is used by undercover police officers to elicit confessions from suspects. Police officers form a criminal organization and invite the suspect to join it. Over the course of months the police officers build a relationship with the suspect and encourage them to carry out small pre-planned crimes for financial reward. Once the suspect is integrated into the organization they are pressured to divulge information about their criminal background in order to gain acceptance into the organization. 'Mr. Big' operations have been used to successfully solve cold cases in Canada New Zealand and Australia.

"Authenticity of misery" represents members of marginalized communities as mostly victims of oppression and violence, their marginality a central part of their character/story. A Locally Undesirable Land Use (LULU) is a type of land use that creates externality costs on those living in close proximity (bad smells, poor aesthetics, health hazards etc.) Examples of LULUs include prisons, garbage dumps, power plants and homeless shelters. In a tender process, each local community is required to submit a bid for an amount of compensation for which they would accept the LULU near them. The community that submits the lowest bid, is paid their requested compensation and the LULU is placed near them.

For the purpose of this debate, there exists a scientist who has secretly created a perfect simulation of the world, including a number of living beings with the exact same physical, mental, emotional, and other predispositions as humans.
